This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a 9-1/2" nominal impeller diameter. The unit incorporates a bronze, slip-on shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents system fluid contact with the pump shaft. A mechanical seal, constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, supports operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The pump assembly includes a rear pullout design, pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, and flush seal line taps.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is configured with a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor featuring an AEGIS shaft grounding ring. The motor uses a 184 JM frame style with feet and provides premium efficiency meeting NEMA MG1-12.55 standards. Power requirements are 230-460V/60/3PH with across-the-line starting. This unit includes a motor drip cover and is rated for 40°C ambient temperatures with counter-clockwise rotation. The system achieves a DOE PEI of 0.87.
