This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The design incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components to isolate the internal shaft from the circulating fluid. Pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections permit system monitoring, while the mechanical seal arrangement supports operating pressures up to 125 PSI. A slip-on shaft sleeve facilitates field maintenance, and flush seal line taps provide access for optional filtration systems.
Powered by a 10 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 3450 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI of 0.42. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
