This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges, a 2-1/2" suction, and a 1-1/2" discharge. The unit is equipped with a 6-1/4" nominal bronze impeller and a bronze wear ring. The pump utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact with the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F.
The pump is driven by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor, NEMA frame 184T, operating at 3450 RPM. Electrical requirements include a 230-460/60/3 power supply with across-the-line starting and a 40°C ambient rating. The motor meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard surrounding a Woods coupler. This configuration has a DOE PEI value of 0.91.
