This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate water transfer. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design, which protects the pump shaft from contact with the circulating fluid and supports pressure ratings up to 125 PSI. A mechanical seal, utilizing a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, prevents fluid leakage during operation. Integrated flush seal line taps permit the addition of a filter to shield the seal from particulate matter, while suction and discharge connections include standard pressure tappings.
Powered by a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power input, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
