This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 2" discharge ports. It is equipped with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a stainless steel shaft sleeve. The pump uses a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The assembly includes ANSI Class 125 flanges, a bronze wear ring, and flush seal line taps. Pressure tappings are provided on both suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump is driven by a 5 HP Baldor ODP motor in a NEMA 184 T frame, operating at 1750 RPM. It is configured for a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply and uses an across-the-line starting configuration. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit is mounted on a welded base that incorporates a drip pan and is connected to the pump via a Woods coupler protected by a standard guard. This configuration has a DOE PEI rating of 0.86.
