This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber ensures operation at pressures up to 125 PSI. The casing provides suction and discharge connections equipped with pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
