This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and utilizes an integrally cast mounting feet design. It incorporates a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve that prevents fluid contact through a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI operational capacity without the use of a wear ring.
The assembly is driven by a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with an Aegis grounding ring, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical input, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
