This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 5" suction and 4" discharge, both equipped with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the system fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber components, suitable for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections, and the unit includes flush seal line taps. A rear pullout design allows for servicing without removing the piping.
This pump is configured with a 40 HP Baldor motor in a 286 JM frame with mounting feet. It operates at 3450 RPM using a 230-460/60/3PH power supply and features an across-the-line starting option. The motor has an ODP enclosure, is rated for 40°C ambient temperatures, and features CCW rotation. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards, including MG1-12.55 compliance and AEGIS shaft grounding. This unit has a DOE PEI value of 0.92.
