This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft to eliminate fluid contact and utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber ensures fluid containment. The assembly integrates pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, and the pump operates at pressures up to 125 PSI without a wear ring.
This pump utilizes a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and operates on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
