This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The construction incorporates a dry shaft design that protects the shaft from circulating fluids and includes a bronze shaft sleeve to assist in mechanical seal maintenance. The seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections, and the design utilizes flush seal line taps to allow for the installation of protective filtration.
The pump operates with a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding for protection, and accepts a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
