This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber. This configuration maintains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. The pump volute allows for positive air venting and provides connections for gauge ports at the suction and discharge points.
This pump utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply, and holds a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
