This centrifugal end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design, which isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve adds protection. A mechanical seal with EPT rubber and ceramic components seals the unit at a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Internal components are serviceable without disturbing the surrounding piping.
The 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding for a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, providing a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
