This centrifugal end suction pump integrates a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the pump utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with ceramic and EPT rubber. This construction allows for a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI while providing gauge ports for both suction and discharge connections. The configuration permits maintenance of the seal and bearings without disturbing the system piping.
Powering the unit is a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and accepts 380-460V / 3PH power input, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
