This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The dry shaft design prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is encased in a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a tungsten carbide seat and EPT rubber components seals the assembly at operating pressures up to 125 PSI. The casing incorporates pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
