This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, facilitating maintenance through a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal comprising a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides sealing for internal fluid management. This unit is rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring and features pressure tappings at both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The pump assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH electrical supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
