This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered for operation at 125 PSI without a wear ring, the assembly integrates a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components. The casing incorporates center-line discharge for air venting and provides tapped gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, receiving power from a 380-460V, 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
