This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrated bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the assembly prevents contact between the shaft and circulating fluid to enhance longevity. A mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber ensures integrity within the 125 PSI pressure rating. The volute includes center-line discharge for air venting and provides connections for gauge ports at both suction and discharge locations, facilitating maintenance without disrupting the system piping.
The motor assembly integrates a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis Grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
