This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, facilitating maintenance through a dry shaft design. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, engineered for 125 PSI operation without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are incorporated into both the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 150 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis shaft grounding, and is powered by 380-460V / 3PH. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
