This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a stainless steel shaft, preventing contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI pressure rating without a wear ring. The assembly accommodates center-line discharge for air venting and provides gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the casing bottom.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
