This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and includes integrally cast mounting feet. The hydraulic assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, this unit prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft and operates up to 125 PSI. The internal mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber, providing a sealing interface for system operation. Pressure tappings are integrated into both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring, while the center-line discharge configuration allows for positive air venting within the piping.
Powered by a 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 3450 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, accepts 380-460V / 3PH power, and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
