This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. It utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents fluid contact with the shaft, while the mechanical seal integrates ceramic and EPT components. Constructed for operation up to 125 PSI without a wear ring, the assembly permits maintenance without disturbing system piping.
The pump utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, maintaining a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
