This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. A dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The assembly utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT elastomer, rated for operation up to 125 PSI. Integral mounting feet facilitate installation, while gauge ports on the suction and discharge connections allow for pressure monitoring.
Powering the system is a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis shaft grounding and configured for 208V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass, a main disconnect with 5kA SCCR, and drive fusing and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
