This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the unit incorporates a ceramic and EPT mechanical seal rated for 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections and operates at a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
A 50 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding connects to a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
