This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally balanced bronze impeller. It incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Internal sealing is maintained by a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber components, supporting a maximum operational pressure of 125 PSI.
The assembly is powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, configured for a 200-230V 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
