This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with an integrally cast bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve as part of a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal provides fluid containment, while the pump construction maintains a 125 PSI rating. Pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation, and the volute design supports center-line discharge for air venting.
Powering the assembly is a 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
