This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The internal construction integrates a dry shaft design that utilizes a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the assembly uses a ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber components, suitable for system operations up to 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet provide structural support for the volute, which includes suction and discharge pressure tappings for system monitoring.
The pump operates with a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
