This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The unit utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal constructed of ceramic and EPT provides fluid containment at operating pressures up to 125 PSI. The volute incorporates a center-line discharge to assist with air venting and provides tapped ports for suction and discharge pressure gauges.
The motor provides 25 HP with a Premium Efficiency rating in an ODP enclosure, operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
