This end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a center-line discharge to assist with air venting. Constructed with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, the assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve to maintain a dry shaft design. The mechanical seal incorporates ceramic seat components with EPT rubber elements to manage internal pressures up to 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. This pump permits maintenance on the internal components without disturbing the existing system piping connections.
The unit utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
