This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing and cover, a stainless steel impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It includes a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a 13-1/2" nominal impeller diameter and a mechanical seal consisting of a Ni-Resist seat, carbon rotor, and Buna rubber, rated for operation up to 225°F. It uses a slip-on shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that isolates the shaft from system fluids. The unit includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design allows for maintenance without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge simplifies piping layouts.
The pump is configured with a 40 HP, 1750 RPM motor in a 324 JM frame with feet. It uses a TEFC WEG motor equipped with AEGIS shaft grounding and operates on 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency MG1-12.55 standards and is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature. The pump uses an across-the-line starting configuration and has a PEI value of 0.92.
