This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a dry shaft design that prevents the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The assembly incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve covers the stainless steel shaft to provide protection against wear. The mechanical seal integrates ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber, operating at pressures up to 125 PSI. This configuration excludes the use of wear rings. The pump housing incorporates integrally cast mounting feet for structural support.
The motor is a 10 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI of 0.47. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
