This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet. The rotating assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft, protected by a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Mechanical sealing consists of a ceramic seat with EPT rubber elements, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance, while the center-line discharge configuration allows for positive air venting.
The assembly utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by a 380-460V 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
