This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 5" suction and 4" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 9-1/2" nominal diameter, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, and it is rated for operation at temperatures up to 250 °F. The casing includes gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, as well as a drain port.
The pump operates at 1150 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor TEFC motor. The motor is configured in a NEMA 215 T frame and meets Premium Efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. Power requirements are 230-460/60/3PH with across the line starting, and the motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base that features an integral drip pan. A Woods coupler connects the pump to the motor, and the assembly is enclosed within an OSHA-compliant coupler guard.
