This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber for performance at a 125 PSI rating. Pressure tappings exist at the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 380-460V 3PH electricity, and has a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
