This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge connections utilizing ANSI Class 125 flanges. It incorporates a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The internal design includes a dry shaft and flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250 °F. A bronze wear ring is integrated into the casing assembly. The rear pullout design allows for maintenance without disturbing system piping, while the top centerline discharge simplifies piping layouts and facilitates self-venting.
The pump is driven by a 5 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and drip cover, configured for a 230-460V/60/3PH power supply. The motor utilizes a 184JM frame with feet and operates at 1750 RPM in a 40 °C ambient environment. It includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. The assembly features an across the line starting option and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.83.
