This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 6" suction and 5" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses an 11" nominal impeller diameter constructed of bronze. The pump casing is cast iron and includes a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, providing a temperature rating up to 250 °F. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact with circulating fluid and utilizes gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections.
This unit operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 25 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a NEMA 284 T-frame. The electrical configuration is 230-460/60/3 with across-the-line starting. The motor is premium efficiency, meeting NEMA MG1-12.55 standards, and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It uses a Woods coupler to connect the pump and motor. The pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.94.
