This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller and a cast iron casing with a bronze wear ring. The assembly includes a stainless steel shaft, a bronze shaft sleeve, and a mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. This seal supports clean water temperatures up to 250°F. The design uses a dry shaft to isolate internal components from the circulating fluid and features suction and discharge pressure tappings.
The pump runs at 1750 RPM using a 3 HP Baldor ODP motor in a NEMA 182 T-frame, configured for 230-460V, 3PH, 60Hz power. It is mounted on a welded base with a drip pan, a standard Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The bearing frame utilizes greasable bearings. The motor meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit features across the line starting, a 40°C ambient rating, and a PEI of 0.85.
