This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft configuration, which prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft assembly, while a mechanical seal utilizing ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at a pressure of 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet on the casing facilitate installation, and the unit allows for maintenance of the internal components without disturbing existing system piping connections.
The assembly utilizes a 15 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electricity, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
