This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump includes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller and a cast iron casing with a bronze wear ring. It uses a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve and follows a dry shaft design to prevent the circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250°F in clean water. It includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP WEG motor. It is configured with a 324TS NEMA motor frame and a TEFC enclosure, suitable for 230-460V/60/3PH power supply. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets NEMA MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards with a PEI value of 0.9. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that incorporates a drip pan and is connected to the motor with a Woods coupler protected by a standard coupler guard. This configuration is rated for 40°C ambient temperature conditions and utilizes across the line starting.
