This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft to isolate the internal stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a silicon-carbide seat half and EPT rubber. The pump operates at a pressure rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring.
Powered by a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM and includes Aegis grounding, utilizing a 380-460V / 3PH power supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
