This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. A ceramic and EPT mechanical seal regulates fluid containment. The unit includes suction and discharge connections for pressure monitoring and a drain port at the bottom of the casing for system maintenance.
The assembly operates with a 2 HP, premium efficiency, TEFC, 1750 RPM motor with Aegis grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
