This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and a 2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit utilizes a 9-1/2" nominal impeller diameter constructed from stainless steel (NSF61) housed within a cast iron casing and cover. It incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, with a temperature rating of 250°F. The pump is equipped with pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections, flush seal line taps, and a rear pullout design that allows servicing without disturbing the system piping.
The pump is powered by a 40 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a JM frame style with feet. It operates at 3450 RPM on a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply with across-the-line starting. The motor configuration includes AEGIS shaft grounding, NEMA standard components, and a 40°C ambient temperature rating with counter-clockwise rotation. This unit maintains a pump energy index (PEI) of 0.89.
