This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, which eliminates the need for corrosion-resistant shaft materials. The mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI rating without a wear ring. This pump assembly utilizes flush seal line taps to permit the installation of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles in open systems and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
Powered by a 40 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 3450 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding for the 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
