This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction port and a 2-1/2" discharge port with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 10" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, and is rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft.
The pump operates at 1150 RPM and is powered by a 5 HP Baldor premium efficiency motor with an ODP enclosure. This motor is a NEMA T-frame, size 215, configured for 230-460/60/3PH power supply and meets MG1-12.55 efficiency standards with AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit is mounted on a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. It utilizes a standard Woods flexible coupler to connect the motor to the bearing frame, which features greasable bearings. The across-the-line starting configuration is standard for this model.
