This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and center-line discharge. A bronze impeller resides within the casing, which is pressure-tapped at both suction and discharge connections. The unit integrates a dry shaft design that isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid, utilizing a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber components maintains integrity at 125 PSI.
The assembly is powered by a 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding for a 380-460V / 3PH supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.48. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
