This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 4" suction and 3" discharge connections compliant with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It utilizes a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The internal design includes a dry shaft configuration and a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The pump assembly includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The unit operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 30 HP Baldor motor in a NEMA 284TS frame with an ODP enclosure. This motor is configured for a 230-460/60/3PH power supply and meets premium efficiency standards per NEMA MG1-12.55, including AEGIS shaft grounding. The pump assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base equipped with an integral drip pan, a Woods flexible coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The pump utilizes greasable bearings and achieves a pump energy index (PEI) of 0.91.
