This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a replaceable bronze wear ring rated for 125 PSI operation. A hydraulically balanced bronze impeller attaches to a stainless steel shaft that utilizes a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design isolates the pump shaft from the circulating fluid to prevent corrosion. A ceramic and EPT rubber mechanical seal maintains system integrity at the fluid interface, and the suction and discharge connections incorporate pressure tappings for system monitoring.
Powering the assembly, a 10 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM with integrated Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
