This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a dry shaft protected by a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a Ni-Resist seat half and Buna rubber components, supporting operation up to 125 PSI. The assembly incorporates a bronze wear ring within the casing to maintain hydraulic tolerances.
This unit operates with a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, running at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, with a DOE: PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
