This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid circulation. The assembly incorporates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the pump shaft and the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber provides a 125 PSI operating capacity without the use of a wear ring. Integrated flush seal line taps allow for the installation of a filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections to support system monitoring.
Powered by a 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding on a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
