This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 2" discharge connection. It uses a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze wear ring. The unit utilizes a rear pullout design and top center line discharge. It includes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact with system fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. Pressure tappings are located on suction and discharge connections, and flush seal line taps are provided for filter installation. Flanges are ANSI Class 125.
The pump operates at 3450 RPM and is powered by a 20 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and drip cover. The motor is configured for 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power supply and features a NEMA 254 JM frame with feet. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and meets premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, with an operating ambient temperature of 40 °C. The starting option is across the line, and the pump maintains a DOE PEI of 0.9.
