This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft arrangement that protects the internal pump shaft by isolating it from contact with the circulating fluid. A replaceable bronze shaft sleeve facilitates seal maintenance, while the mechanical seal integrates a ceramic seat with EPT rubber components. The hydraulic assembly supports operation up to 125 PSI without a wear ring and includes flush seal line taps to permit filter installation for open system applications. Pressure tappings are positioned on the suction and discharge connections to provide direct access for system monitoring.
Powered by a 1.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly utilizes Aegis grounding and operates on a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
